| Why is it that sometimes Windows can be seamlessly transferred to another system and at other times it displays a BSOD and is unable to substitute the device drivers? |

It doesn't contain all the drivers it needs. Sometimes the hardware is too new. Often it is too old. Someone has to make a driver that is compatible with your version of Windows. A driver written for XP 32 bit isn't going to do you any good when you're running Windows 7 x64. |

| Windows 8 is a huge improvement over other versions because it includes native drivers (USB 3) and native apps where you wouldn't need an antivirus software, ISO drive maker, or antimalware suite. In fact, they sort of did away with the BSOD. When Windows shuts itself down, it briefly shows a screen which simply says, "Windows must now shut down to prevent equipment failure" or something like that. There's no way they could possibly have all the drivers for all the motherbards or peripherals. Can you imagine? The W8 d/l is something like 3.5 GB. With every driver imbedded, W8 would be, like, 30 GB. That's too unmanageable and impractical since drivers update frequently. _________________ If you think he's eloquent now just wait till he's sober! |

| Seems like you have access to the internet now. D/l the drivers, burn them to a disk or save them on a flash drive. BTW, which m/b driver are you looking for? _________________ If you think he's eloquent now just wait till he's sober! |
