Amazon's Kindle Fire HD tablet found to contain tablet parts

iFixit Kindle Fire HD

The good people over at iFixit have done what they do best to the new 7-inch Kindle Fire HD, they took it apart. Their first observation was that the guts of the HD version differ pretty greatly from the original Kindle Fire.

Their teardown has confirmed the TI OMAP processor that Amazon touted and 1GB RAM. They also found the battery to be removable, if you happen to have a screwdriver. The good news is that they gave the device a reparability score of 7/10. While the battery is fairly easy to access, the CPU is rather difficult.

If you'd like to see Amazon's latest tablet in various states of undress, you can hit up the source link for more pictures.
