PHILADELPHIA, PA. (AP) - Real Madrid defeated Glasgow Celtic 2-0 Saturday in the World Football Challenge.
Gonzalo Higuain split two Celtic defenders and fed Jose Callejon, who scored in the 22nd minute.
Karim Benzema added a goal in the 67th minute, steering a shot to the far left corner of the net to beat goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska before a crowd of 34,018 at Lincoln Financial Field.
Celtic's Dylan McGeough was knocked out and removed from the field on a stretcher after a collision during a head ball. McGeough and Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin went up for the ball, and Sahin caught him on the chin with his left shoulder.
McGeough moved his arms across his chest before he was taken to a hospital. Celtic said on Twitter that he had a possible jaw fracture.
