Hi Gator Nation,
Seeing as we run this blog, and website, we thought we?d take an opportunity to introduce ourselves to you. We are the communications team of Gator Growl and Homecoming for 2012! We?ve heard terms like ?face team? thrown around to describe us, but really we just try to be the voice of Gator Growl and Homecoming. And we?d love to hear your voice. If you ever have any questions or comments about Homecoming and Gator Growl at UF please let us know!
Brittney Austin, a third-year political science major, is the associate general chairman of communications for Homecoming. She lives by the motto ?YOLO,? which she conveniently has tattooed on the inside of her lip.?
Lauren Ettlinger, a third-year PR major, is the associate producer of communications for Gator Growl. She is borderline tone deaf and can?t sing on key to save her life.
Do you like Growl and Homecoming?s new logo? Well thank Lauren Gutholn and Sydney Spratt for that. Lauren, a digital arts and science major, is a Sony Ericsson Ballperson. Sydney, an advertising major, is obsessed with pizza? but only from the Reitz Union because well, it tastes better.
Kaushik Shanadi, the creator of this website, actually taught himself how to do web design. Fun fact: this finance major has a fraternal twin brother at UF and 3 cousins who have graduated from here.?
Sarah Bootcheck, the printing director, is a communication science and disorders major who spends her free time repealing off of mountains in Colorado. ??
Our master of photography is?Trenor Wilkins, a telecommunications production major. He once met Jerry Springer and was completely disappointed with him.?
Molly Vazquez is all about public relations for Homecoming and saving sea turtles. She hopes to work for a sea turtle conservation group after graduation. Brooke Schwartzman spends her time doing PR for Growl and hanging out with her puppy named McLovin. Sean Quinn, the PR director for Growl, spends his free time listening to all different types of music, that is when he?s not on Twitter.
Last but not least, we have our program director, Alex Gentilella. She?s a biotechnology major and a huge fan of Crossfit. In fact, she?s actually a certified trainer.
We all chose to get involved in UF Homecoming and Gator Growl because we love how these events can truly unify the Gator nation and represent everything that the university stands for. ?So on behalf of the communications team, let the gator growl!?
